About the Rubber Hex Dumbbell Pair (25kg)

A pair of 25kg rubber-coated hex dumbbells with knurled chrome handles. The cast iron head is sealed inside a moulded rubber shell, so the pair is quiet on the floor, safe on timber and tile, and rust-proof in a humid garage. The six-sided head stops the dumbbell rolling and gives a stable base for renegade rows and push-up variations.

The heaviest pair in the range. Twenty-five kilograms per hand covers heavy rows, presses, deadlifts and carries for strong lifters, and marks the point where a barbell becomes the sensible next purchase.

Is 25kg the right weight for me?

Use the 12-rep test: if you can do 12 clean reps of the exercise you do most and the last two are hard, it is right. If you cannot reach 8, go lighter; if 15 are easy, go heavier. Our dumbbell weight guide has a chart by exercise.

Do rubber dumbbells mark floors?

Set down under control, no. Dropped from height onto tile or timber, any dumbbell can mark the floor, so we recommend a rubber mat underneath.

Do they smell?

New rubber has a smell for the first few weeks. Air the pair in shade and it fades.
