How It All Started
Peter and Mat have been best mates since they could walk. Growing up in regional Victoria, they spent their days riding bikes, kicking footballs, and getting into the kind of trouble only lifelong friends can find.
As they got older, fitness became their thing. But they kept running into the same problem: decent gym gear was either ridiculously expensive or fell apart within months.
One night over a beer, they asked a simple question: "Why can't we just make this stuff ourselves?"
That question became PeterMat.

Mat
The Creative One
Mat is the brand brain — designing products, shooting content, and keeping the vibe alive. A former personal trainer, he brings real-world fitness knowledge to every product decision.
